Overview

The ADHD Focus Helper Chrome extension helps users stay focused by blocking distracting websites they choose. Blocking decisions happen locally in the browser. We do not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share user data.

Information Kept Locally by the Extension

We do not store your data on our servers. The extension may save the following information in Chrome's extension storage on your device, and in Chrome sync storage if your browser sync is enabled.

Websites You Choose to Block

Domain names and URL patterns you add to your block list are kept by the extension so it can perform its core blocking function.

Extension Settings

Your preferences, including blocking mode, temporary access settings, theme, and timer preferences, are kept in Chrome extension storage.

Usage Statistics

Local statistics such as blocked attempt counts, streaks, and focus minutes may be kept on your device to help you understand your own focus patterns.

Temporary Access Tokens

Temporary bypass tokens are kept in Chrome session storage and expire automatically.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No external analytics or tracking.
  • No accounts, names, email addresses, or personal identifiers.
  • No sale, rental, or sharing of data.
  • No page content, passwords, forms, or private website data.
  • No successful browsing history outside the extension's local blocking checks.

How Local Information Is Used

Local extension data is used only to provide the extension's features: checking blocked sites, saving preferences, showing local progress, handling temporary access, and allowing export or reset.

Where It Lives

Settings and block lists may use Chrome sync storage. Statistics and history use Chrome local storage. Temporary bypass tokens use Chrome session storage. Chrome manages the browser storage and sync behavior.

Third Parties

ADHD Focus Helper does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, remote APIs, or external tracking services.

User Control

You can edit blocked sites, change settings, export data, import data, clear data, or uninstall the extension at any time. Uninstalling removes local extension data from the browser.

Children's Privacy

The extension does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents or guardians can configure the extension locally if they choose to use it for a child's browser profile.

Changes to This Policy

If privacy practices change materially, the policy will be updated. Continued use of the extension after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.
